A woman is drawing attention online after renting a car and being charged for damage she did not cause to the vehicle.

Danielle posted a video on her TikTok profile to vent about the situation. She explained that she rented a car from Enterprise for just two days to take her father from one city to another.

When she picked up the car, she carefully inspected it, and everything seemed fine. “We did an inspection of the car. Everything was okay,” she said in the clip.

After the three-and-a-half-hour trip, she returned home. However, upon parking, Danielle was surprised by a strange noise. She bent down to check and found a piece of plastic hanging under the car.

“I didn’t hit anything. I was driving on the highway the whole time. I don’t even know what it is. A small piece of plastic is stuck under the car,” Danielle explained.

She then decided to call Enterprise for assistance, and they reportedly told her to take the car to the nearest branch to exchange it. She followed the instructions, but when she arrived, they tried to charge her for the damage.

“They are trying to charge me for damages, claiming I caused them. There was nothing nearby. No scratches, dents, or any minor damage under the car,” she argued.

She said that customer service escalated the complaint to higher levels but essentially told her she would have to “deal with it at the branch” or through her insurance.

At this point, she had the vehicle for less than a day. “I didn’t even get the time I wanted. I wanted two days with the car. I didn’t even have 24 hours,” Danielle lamented.

Frustrated, she told the staff that she planned to dispute the charge with her credit card company. “Enterprise, I will never use your services again,” she concluded at the end of the video.

In the comments, viewers shared their opinions on the situation. “This is insane,” commented one TikTok user. “First, file an insurance claim. Then check if there are benefits on your credit card. If you picked up the car with no damage and then drove it for 3 hours, you can request a refund,” said another.

“I’ve never rented a car from them without immediately having to fix tires that had nails in them,” revealed a third user. “My brother hit a deer with a rented car. He had insurance, but they still charged him two months of rental because they couldn’t rent it out again,” added another.
